Thông tin chi tiết
Tóm tắt : | The book presents three mental processes of psycholinguistics: the study of listening, speaking, and of the acquisition of these two skills by children. It is divided into five parts. Part 1 is introduction. Part 2 takes up listening, tracing it from the initial perception of speech sounds to the interpretation of and memory for what was said. Part 3 discusses speaking, beginnning with the gross planning of monologues and dialogues and working through the pronunciation of individual speech sounds. Part 4 deals with acquisition, following the development of language in children from birth to adolescence. Part 5 takes up meaning - its role in listening, speaking, and acquisition - and the relation of language to thought |
