Tóm tắt : | The report presents a quantitative survey on the effects of COVID-19 in Georgia, conducted in five rounds among the adult population from April to December 2020. The survey covered various issues, including knowledge of COVID-19, risk perceptions, attitudes towards preventive measures, psychoemotional resilience, social expectations, and trust in the government and institutions managing the crisis. The survey revealed that most respondents had relevant knowledge of COVID-19, correctly identifying its characteristics and necessary preventive measures. They generally adhered to behaviors to protect themselves and others. The severe restrictions introduced by the government were broadly accepted, though support decreased over time as the measures were perceived to worsen economic conditions and increase psychological harm. Even at the peak of the outbreak, there was little significant fear that the virus would cause severe health complications if contracted. Overall, respondents maintained strong emotional resilience, finding emotional balance, overcoming stress, and staying calm. The survey also showed that trust in coronavirus vaccines was high at this time, and while a number of reservations (vaccines’ country of origin, side-effects, etc.) were cited, a large proportion of respondents expressed willingness to be vaccinated up to December 2020. viii, 82 p. |
