Thông tin chi tiết
Tóm tắt : | p.4 This Web annex is part of the publication titled Supporting Parents and Caregivers: A Mapping Review of Experiences in Europe and Central Asia. The mapping and scoping review started with a rapid desk review focusing on definitions of parenting interventions and core evidence of effectiveness, with a focus on Europe and central Asia. The following definition was used to guide the mapping exercise. Parenting programmes or parenting support interventions: a set of activities or services aimed at strengthening how parents and caregivers approach and execute their role as parents and increasing their child-rearing resources. The intent is to empower parents by increasing their level of knowledge, self-confidence and competences for child-rearing that results in positive outcomes for children. Parenting interventions can include structured, curriculum based programmes, or more broad-based activities (e.g. awareness-raising campaigns). The desk review was complemented by information from other mapping interventions currently under way or recently completed, including the following: the European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC)24 of the European Commission, an online platform of evidence-based practices for investing in children, including parenting interventions – the database remained updated until 2021; UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia mapping of services, policies and other identified parenting support across the region; and completed mapping reviews, which are shown in the bibliography of this document. |
